Air box guestion

I have an 87' with a pwk carb. Would any stock box and snorkel work? My snorkel is falling just so short from box.

Should be working.
Are you running a reed spacer or something like that?
You could easily extend the snorkels length a little with a pvc coupler or somethin similair.

something isnt quite right then. even with a spacer plate it should still insert into the airbox. :confused: can ya post a pic or two?

I have seen people get rid of the rubber cushions at the front of the air box to gain a little more forward position.

The guy that had it before me ran it without a box and cut the pin off one side and welded a plate to mount the resivor. I was gonna weld a bolt one for a new hanger but this is what im workin with . The only thing i can think to do is cut the pin off the other side slide the box forward but i think it will bring it to close to the shock.
