kfx400 will kfx450 shocks fit?

ok i searched and haven't got my answers will kfx450r shocks fit a 03 kfx400? thanks

I put kfx 450r front shocks on my kfx 400. You have to remove 1/4" of the top of the shock to get it to fit in the shock mount. We did this by using a hand held band saw called a port-a-band. We removed an 1/8" off each side - cut right through the bushing, then sanded them with a belt sander. Looks like they came straight from the factory and mounted up perfectly. The kfx 450r shocks are approximately 3/4" shorter than the stock kfx 400 shocks. In my opinion, they are better than using Honda 450r shocks (I've used both). The Honda shocks were brutally stiff for me. I had them on full soft for compression, rebound and preload. The kfx 450r shocks I can actually use all the settings.
