Motor Almost Finihsed!

After 3 months worth of waiting and work it is ready to be assembled. 85mm bore X 76mm stroke setup for all around power. We will see how the 450 fourstrokes hold up to 431cc of 2 stroke power.

Is that a Gidget Products Engineering clutch lockout? (I found them about a year ago, then havent been able locate the website again). I think they were pretty pricey? $400? Where can you buy those from?

It is actually gigot racing. I am not sure that he currently has any of them left. I think he builds them in large quantities when there is a demand. But he may have a few left.

Very sweet! Where did you get your hands on the cases were they orginals? I'd like to build a 330 for my R some day and of course I want to go from the cases up :p

puma and kevins lockouts are about 250.00

Lockout retails for a little under $400 but dealer cost is around $285 shipped I believe. Then your inner clutch hub needs a little machine work. As mentioned it is a puma cylinder. The cases are used 86 cases that have been bead blasted and welded up. This motor required a bit of case work. The cases had to be trenched to clear the stroker and yz 490 rod, the holes in the top of the cases had to be filled, and then the cases had to be bored to fit the 85mm bore.
