That's a CR rad valve Dan. That 02b stamped on the side in the second pic would be an 04a if it was a TRX.

Thanks Tony! Can you explain the differences? Or is there any?

Dan

I believe the intake angle is a little more with the CR than the TRX(the trx intake comes out a little more straight from the reed block).

Second, the TRX has a little longer intake too, about a 1/2" or so over the CR's. You can see where the reed valve on yours has a cutout for the intake boot to "set into it," on the TRX there is no cutout, the boot is about 3/8" away from the reed valve.

I only know this because I mistakenly bought a CR advertised as a TRX the first time, and I couldn't figure out why the intake angle was a little off. Plus I needed to run a reed spacer with the CR to make it work.

Thanks Tony! Quick question, not sure what your setup is on your Arens. However, I couldn't run this RAD Valve, Reedspacer, and PWK 38mm A/S. The top of the carb would kit the rear angled brace just in front of the rear shock mount. I then tried to run a ESR airbox eliminator kit, good luck with that. The spacing is not there. I bought the bracket off eBay and then running a 89 CR250R reed cage. It fits like a gem now, however I had to get a reedspacer to get the spacing to connect to the air bracket. It is a good fit overall....finally.

What carb are you running Tony? what is your setup?

TRX Boyesen Rad into 39 pwk into stock boot/airbox. I snapped some pics for you, don't mind the dirt;) See the difference with the boot spacing off the reed valve between mine and yours?

It's the reed spacer and the angle of the CR. Is there a dent where your carb hits the frame? I think I may have the same problem eventually.

Here's a couple pictures of what I am referring to.

No. I usually try and twist the carb in the boot just enough to clear the angle brace without rubbing. Definitely not ideal.
