About to buy my first YFZ450. I've wanted one for years, but never had enough money. Rode an 01' Modded Banshee for 3 years and a Honda 450 for 1 Summer.

Looking at an 06, Special Edition, Yellow/Black with a BUNCH done to it. It'll be about a 2 hour drive to pick up. Looks really clean. Says it's 'race ready'. Is that going to be too much power for me riding up North in Michigan? I'm not into dragging or racing, but I love speed. It'll be used for 1/2 trails and 1/2 sand/dirt.

Anyway.. here are some of the parts it has. Give me an idea on how much it would be worth please. Also, it claims the front shocks are built for a 225 lb rider, how many problems is that going to cause with me weighing 160ish?

Dyno Jet Kit
White Bros E2 exhaust
Janseen +3 a-arms
Elka long travel front suspension
UM nerfbars
UM full skid plate
RK aftermarket chain and sprockets

Any comments and/or suggestions are greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Springs will be a bit stiff for you but other than that shouldn't be any issues. Hard to determine what the bike is worth without really looking at it.

Do you think it would be worth around $4300? If it IS in fact a clean quad?

With what's listed yes. But I've also seen bikes with more going for cheaper than that here in Florida. It all depends on HOW CLEAN it is. Tell him to email you pics and post them up.

Yeah, it's worth it. He may come off of it for 4,000.

I live in Freeland, work in Saginaw, went to school in Hemlock lol. I ride in Mio, but only go there like 5 or 6 times a season, so I'm looking for new riding area's as well. How about you? I'd definitely be up for riding with some other people this summer.

I have no experience on a YFZ yet, so I'll be learning this summer lol. My first quad was an 86' Honda Fourtrax, then just last year sold my modded 01' Banshee.

Keep in touch dude,
