With +2 Aarms I feel like they are sprung for a 200 - 220 lb rider.

I've heard that you wont be able to get the ride height low enough, resulting in a harsher ride.
That was on stock arms........dont know about plus two!

I had them on stock arms and +2's, with the stock arms it sat way too high, about 2 to 3" to high, You have to extend the arms all the way out just to bolt them up and the steering was maxed out and stiff. Now with the +2s it is a bit lower but still higher than normal 250r shocks and feels like its valved for a 200lb rider but steers eaisier. I wouldnt run them with stock arms but they work pretty good (better than stock) with +2s and will get you by till you by some better shocks.

depends on how you like your shocks. i put them on my laeger +2 stock travel a arms and i almost thought they were not stiff enough! but i never rode it i just bolted them up and then unded up selling the a arms. i put the shocks on +3 and they worked GREAT. plus they have needle bearings in the bottom instead of just bushings like stockers.

so all in all. if you like stiffer suspension (like me) or you jump, these shocks work great.

I installed Yamaha YFZ450 shocks off of a 2004 on my 1987 250R. I'm running Lone Star +2 a-arms.

Since the YFZ450 shocks have a wider mounting point on top, the shocks need to be turned down in order to mount up on the stock 250R Honda frame. Once that is done, they work great.

The YFZ450 shocks are closer in length to the stock 250R shock length.

With the spring preload backed off till there's only a couple of threads showing at top, the ride height is near perfect. Mine sags a bit, and when you grap the front bumper, it'll come up an inch or two.

I'll try to get pics in the next day or two and post mine.

Rog
