Hey guys, my name is Jeff and I have been poking my head around the forum lately. I thought it was time to introduce myself and show a couple pics of my 04 400ex.

This is the new money pit. Before I even got it running correct, I had installed the Pro Taper bars, Sparks X-6, Sparks advance key, Sparks CDI and the K&N kit. Alot more is in the works, but moving has put it on the back burner for a month or two. Let me know what you guys think.

Thanks for the compliments guys. I got really lucky and picked up the bike with only about 15 hours total ride time. That and I take really good care of my stuff. I am constantly cleaning and my riding buddies make fun of me all the time for being a perfectionist. I guess when you work hard for toy money, it makes you respect them that much more.

I will get a head on pic by tomorrow.

Wow man, my '03 is nowhere near that clean. Plastic was shot before I even got it from the dealer in '04. Frame is scratched and has plenty in surface rust.

Wish mine still looked like that.

Welcome to the forum. That's a killer base of mods you've got, on a really clean bike. Good find. Those are top notch basic mods (probably what most of us wish we started with).

Good luck & nice quad!!

good clean quad, i would have bought nerfs as the first mod tho,
how much did u get your 400ex for? an what elevation are you running? i have basically similar mods and same jets but 40 pilot but mine is popping and i guess running lean with a stock exhaust with out the silencer.

I bought the quad for only $1,800 because of a no start due to no spark issue. I got the starting problem fixed and now I am good to go.

I am only a couple hundred feet above sea level. I went with the 42 pilot because of a write up on this site. Since I removed the choke, it was recommended to go with the 42 pilot. Sparks actually recommends a 45 pilot, but I am changing carbs in the next couple of weeks so I am not going to bother with this one anymore.

450R carb is already in the garage waiting to be put on! I just need to buy jets and a ZRpilot adaptor.

By the way, I see that you have a 99 Camaro. I have a 95 LT1 with my life savings into it...lol. I just got done with a cam swap and some juice.

yea i noticed you had a 95, yea mines the 99 with the LS1 i love this car, it has mostly all full suspention car, i have a few minor bolt ons, and i will be installing my LS6 intake this week hopefully. but lol now i am dumping my money on the 400ex, and i kinda want a truck. the place i ride is around 5500 feet and it still pops, i might need to move up on my main jet to 160, wow and u got a good deal on ur quad for being super clean. oh and what cam did u get?? i hope its not a gm hotcam.

Nah...I went with a comp Cams 503. 224/230

Mine is a full suspension, cam and nitrous car for now, maybe a turbo later on down the road. I have to admit that the camaro is taking a back seat to the 400 right now though...lol
