07 yfz chain slapped shifter, shifter broke case

Just like the title says.. i am going to have to get the cases split and have all this fixed.. just wondering if anyone had any idea on how to make my engien beefy'er since its gonna be torn down. New crank ? cams? whatever you think would be good for a back woods rider that rides real hard and never turns down a hill climb... thanks for the help

I had the same thing happen to me luckly im a weldor and i fixed my own case with out having to get new cases

replace all the bearings. may want to instal a new crank. since you will already have it apart. water pump impeller and seals. I think the 08 oil pump puts out more volume then the 07. Look at the part numbers... do some porting on the head. clean the screen that goes into the the oil reservoir. it usually has a bunch of metal in it from the machine process. add a kickstart. its awesome when the battery occasionally dies do to lights (aftermarket) or you bust the battery (ive done it)
