just for fun, had my bike out on the lake yesterday(08 450xc) with the sled guys,
running stock gearing and 18s ran 72mph, switched to 20 inch rears and ran 77 mph.this is with tires with skidoo studs in them, ran 78 mph on ashphalt with the same gearing and 20 inch slicks. anybody else get to play with a radar?

Wow, I hit 68 down a sand/gravel wash in parker, AZ. Guess I was haulin the mail...didn't have much more to go before I hit the wall if you got 72 on a lake bed.

420, I didn't play with radar but changed up to a 15 tooth front gear with no mods to the case guard needed then did an annual 450 mile loop through the california desert. I also ran 22 inch razors on back with 23s up front. This combo works very will for those of us looking for top speed. It should be well over 80. Running in 5th gear for many open miles at 3/4 throttle, I easily got over 60 mpg between fuel stops. At fuel stops, I had to check and re-tork the back hubs but had no other problems. I have now applied loctite to those hubs.

i was involved in some grass drags last year and it was a 400 ft race. and was able to hit 60 mph. stock tires and gearing. would be faster if it was able to hook up!

Had 129km/h the other day, measured by SatNav. The same time 126km/h measured by Vapor trial tech fitted on my buddies bike. On 525xc, dough could push it bit more I reckon ...
