check your voltage at the battery, and at the starter. try to check your solenoid and then if that is functioning then it is the starter. you said it doesn't even click so I would say the starter solenoid is junk. try checking for juice at the starter when the button is pushed. The cdi could have possibly went to but I doubt it. I dont think it controls the starter but it may I am not sure. the solenoid should click if it working right though. good luck and test everything out. i would even look at the wiring diagram in the back of a honda manual and check to amke sure the button is working right. I have had to replace the handlebar pod when my lights were messed up. steve

Does your quad have the wires that go to the clutch lever cut and twisted together? They could possibly be apart or corroded. Start small and work up.

Have you check the voltage with a meter like honda400ex2003 said?

bad choice on getting a new battery, They are hard to return. Dont buy any more stuff until you diagnosed it! Alot of people just jump into buying stuff and they waste money. A common misconception by many people

go to walmart and get analog meter for $10

They look similar to this but this one is digital.

how much power? You need to know how much is actually transferring to it when you try and start it. Also check your battery voltage while your at it.

You dont go back to square one. since this is an electrical problem you technically jump to square 2 because you factored one thing out

You need your manual...
