z400 carb keeps flooding

I,m not sure where to begin to start my carb will compleatly flood out the motor, The petcok seems to be ok I whent thru the carb checked all the main valve it looks of and seems to work, I checked the jets they are clean.
any help would be great.

did you take out the float and needle valve ? there ia s screen thats held in with a small screw ,some times dirt gets past it.
whats the float shutoff at,i like to have a little gas in the hose and move the float up till the gas stops ,then measure where it stopped at ,adjust and try again
