I was wondering if anyone knows where I can get a set of frame guards for my 07 450er. I have been looking all over the place and I cant find anything! These are the guards that you put on where you boots rub your frame down to nothing. If anyone knows where there is some please let me know!!! Thanks

I know Maier makes some and I've seen other people just cut some grip tape to the right size and stick that on the frame as well.

there is a guy selling them on ebay made from the grip tape.

I haven't seen any nice aluminum or carbon fiber ones.

Maier makes a plastic skid plate that has been known to hold up good.
http://www.maier-mfg.com/shop.cfm?Product_ID=63086&page=details.cfm&cartaction=none&thisrow=46&action=list&criteria=101&startrow=41&mystartrow=41&maxrows=10&cat=&man=&stay=&afid=&searchcat_id=&itemprice=&searchfield=&searchman_id=&boolean=&var1=&var2=&var3=&makeid=10&modelid=180&modelyear=

Tag also makes a polymer one , but only still make it for the 06+ bikes.
The 04-05 ones are impossible to find.

I've ran the Tag for a season so far in MX, holding up good.

And Hyder

If you want to run a metal skid, just put a thin coat of slicon caulk on the bottom of the frame rails to reduce vibration noise from the skid.

I have the one from Hyde and it has held up really well. It is expensive but it won't crack in freezing temperatures like the others tend to do.
