i have a 1993 honda 300ex, and am sick and tired of all the electrical problems. I have my motor worked( exhaust, intake, cam, clutch, valve springs, carb., rev box, big bore kit) and am only a little satisfied with the performance. a 350x motor is physically bigger and its a kickstart (no electric start, so no electrical problems) so i sho uld be happy with one. what is involved with the instilation. also, it has 6 gears :devil thanks for all the info. its grealty appreciated

1. upper rear mount on 350x needs to be cut/filed to fit (pretty easy) all other mounts line up
2. oil cooler needs to be relocated, and lines made I usually cut factory lines and flare steel ends then use hose with hose clamps
3. rear sproket needs to be spaced in aprox 1/4 inch washer between sproket flange and rear sproket.
4. exhaust buy it from powerall or make it yourself trust me I have dun it twice, it is easier to suck it up and spend the money to buy the pipe from powerrall!
5. modify intake tubes from stock 250x,300ex airbox to mate to tube from stock 350x carb cut them both use section pipe between them with hose clamps
you will need complete 350x harness motor, carb end result is nice bike and is bullet proof my bro has one we still use every weekend I built it many years ago, long before the 400ex was even on the drawing board.:D
6. oh yeh ,forgot also top banjobolt on 350x moter oil line near head will need to be filed down aprox 1/8 to 1/4 inch or will hit frame when it flexs any one who is going to do this is or in the process should print and save this it is all mods required and is a frequently asked ?

^---thats it right there..Thats everything you need to know. When you finally get to put the motor in it seems like a tight fit but you gotta wiggle the motor right and she goes right in.

250x???????, 300ex yes it fits great and works great. I had a 400 cc and it would crank it, I moved the compression release to the handle bars, so you had to hit it and the button at the same time. I could ALWAYS crank it, kick or push the button, my friends could never crank it. my other friend had a 428 stroker kit, same as my 400cc, but it was stroked, the gorki would NOT turn the 428 over fast enough, he wasted $300, I loved my kit. Best to kick the first time, then push button the rest of the day..........

id say the goki might have turned it over with a more powerful battery?
