I found a custom axis rear shock but its coming off a 400ex. It is the same length as the 450r rear shock. I would be willing to buy it if I knew it would fit my 450r ok.

It won't fit to my knowledge, it will be too short.

longer actually, the 450r rear is shorter than the 400

Actually I meant to say is it the same legth.....so I take it that it is not.......Thanks for the info....saved me from taking the chance and it not working.

well i got a 05 450r back shock on my 400ex and it sits lower. the 450 shock is shorter
