replace starter clutch

I got both of the replacement kits to fix my 06 450er starter clutch and reduction gear has anyone done this before. if so how involved is it.

I've never done that on an 06 but here is a download to the PDF version of the 06 service manual.
I would think it would have the step by step instructions on how to take that part of the engine apart.
