Wow, your wife is taking a 400EX over an R? I myself wasn't too impressed with the 400EX I rode a while back, but it was stock and it felt a lot like my 300EX. My boyfriend has an '86 350R (LRD 330 motor with ESR 4mm stroker crank) that is awesome to ride. He ends up working on it alot but its really a nice bike with lots of power so when its up and running right its well worth the time he puts into it. I was kinda scared of it at first because it had a twist throttle and I wasn't used to it but I finally got the balls up to ride it and now most of the time he has to pull me off of it kicking and screaming. hehe
If my boyfriend offered to buy me any quad I wanted I think I'd pick an R.

Oh yea, by the way, I don't mind the smoke from a 2 stroke as long as they are running race gas......smells mmm, mmm, good!!
