I was just looking through the new Dirtwheels (February 2003) and in the LRD add it has 2 pictures of their Frames, but right above the one it says Laeger Aluminum Frames, Call for more Details and Pricing! I haven't heard anything about Laeger making one. I wonder if LRD is making them for him and putting Laeger stickers on it? I may email Baldwin and ask them about it. Anybody know anything about it?

That's new to me. Are they for 250's or 400's?

I saw that somewhere too...i can't remeber where. It wasn't an LRD add....i think it had a picture.

It doesn't say what they are for or give any Info on them. It says to call in the add. Yeah it's in the LRD add now with no picture or anything. I emailed Baldwin about it so I will have to wait and see what they say, if not somebody will have to call LRD.

I'm thinkin' that they are for everything. They pry saw how much of an impact that LRD's frames had and now they are steppin' up to the challenge.

I was told LRD has bought the
rights to build & sell Laeger frames..

So basically LRD is making the Laeger design frame and more people will buy it because it says Laeger.

I hope that means laeger will start making stuff faster. I wish my dirtwheels would get here!

LRD don't acctully make the frames either. The company that makes them is called MC Products or something like that. They are partners and they sell them under LRD's name. It uses Leager's geometry.

I finaly got my new dirtwheels and saw the LRD page that showed the frames.......I think you are right....i bet a lot of people will buy the laeger one over the LRD because of the name. I wonder if they are both the same price.....I wonder if they put the Laeger name on it and tacked on another $200.

Thats what i was wondering too are they gonna make you pay more for a sticker? Still an awesome frame tho.

Lrd's NEW FRAME has been out for about a year now I know some pro's on the GNCC are useing them also I have seen some MX guys on them. As far as the geometry go's I thought it was based on the 250R?

Yeah that's what I was thinking, maybe Laeger can start making stuff faster. Yeah LRD doesn't make them, but it's their name and they sell them. They just did that because LRD is much better known then MC Products. Well they are making a Laeger design frame which is a little bit different from the stock 250r. The LRD is the same but the Laeger will be different. Them putting a bigger price on it for the name wouldn't surprise me either. I didn't get an email back from Baldwin yet.

Is that the frame that Bill Ballance used this year that you are talking about?

Dave400ex

Yeah Ballance ran the LRD last year.

The LRD frame is BAD*****. it's like a bajillion inches around. very beefy but still light. Amazing. Seen it in person.

Well Jones will be riding with LRD next year. I would imagine that he will be using the Laeger aluminum frame (I read this elsewhere too). I also imagine it will come in a CR500 linkage version because I cannot see a top pro like Jeremiah running a stock link set up.

does Laeger have a website? If so, what is the address?

Yeah they showed Jones as a rider. Hopefully he does use the Laeger, if it's a better design he will. I wonder if he will use LRD motor work now though too? Nope Laeger does not have a Web site. Best site for Laeger is Baldwin (http://www.baldwinmotorsports.com)

I'm good friends with #11 in pro class (GNC) racer Matt Bartosek who happens to be one of the few employees at Baldwin’s (5 min away from my house) Anyway Matt was telling me how Laeger is now mass producing there frames. Got them in like 3 factories or something like that. But he said what’s funny is that there also raising the prices! Well he gets sponsored rates (can't tell ya what he gets them for) So I guess if you guys want the best frame made I would suggest saving up a lot of $ or kissing Mark Baldwin’s ***!
