Looking into putting a new cam in my bike...i was thinking either a hot cam stage 2 or the 04-05 Hrc cam. Whats the difference/which is better in your guys opinion?

What kind of riding do you do? HCII is a good all around cam and the 04/05 hrc is more a mid to top end cam.

Your not going to want the 04/05 cam then. The HCII is what I think you'd be happier with.

I've ridden with both on an mx track, and I like to be at top rpm as much as possible so the HRC is the only way I'd go. If you dont like to rev out your bike/atv as much then the HCII is better. its easier ti ride with yes.

I find myself on the HCII dogging too much cause I try to hold out before shifting like I did with my hrc, cant do that with the HCII there just isn't enough power on top to do that, but on the other hand there is much more power on the bottom if you woods ride you may like that better, again this is just my opinion.

ive had a 04 450r with hrc and i now have a 04 with stage 2 hotcams and ive had a 416ex with a stage 2 and id say stage two would be the only way unless you get into the higher dollar webcams etc. im sure you'll like either one though if your not that particular of where you want the power, both vry good cams.

curtis sparks midrange cam is really good for mx. it is the same cam john natalie used to win the mx title with in 05-06.

i run a 03 crf cam in my R and i love it. Packs a punch down low to mid. Then again you are riding MX so go with the 02 (mid-top end cam)

O yea great, GREAT guy. Mad props to TMM. And yea, talk about it. To get something done like that would take weeks if I had to send it out, not to mention my weekend would have been over. It was amazing
