Mine looked just like yours before when I got my 310, I just smoothed it out , It runs real strong, good bottom end and pulls real well in the thick sand, Mine was setup for bottom end along with a bottom end pipe, Now the stock Rad- wont cool it, and Im looking for a aftermarket one.

Now I dont know exactly what looks good and what does not look good. Can you guys explain to me what I see in this picture. I see that it is fairly smooth. What did it look like before? Also, does it really make a huge differance if it is smooth or rough? Sorry but just trying to learn this stuff

Wow it made that much diffrence with the temp? Thought it would be fine with the increased cooling fluid capacity. I also purchased the water temp gauge to keep an eye on it.

Let us know how well it fits on the cases. They cylinder I saw did not fit very well on the cases. It needed the stud holes redrilled.

Threw the engine back on it, filled with fluids and cranked in 3 kicks. Did 2 heat cycles so far, gonna finish it Friday due to work.
Ran great so far!

maybe that is why they were offering the cylinders at the intro pricing, to see if costumer would complain about the castings or not. still for 150 more then the intro price, that is a hell of a deal if the cylinders were to come looking how they fixed yours!
im waiting to see some reports on heating issues and even a comparison of the pv, non pv cylinder, and pro x. after that i wil decide what i want to do next winter.

I just switched out the fluid in mine to engine ice and bought a new rad- cap. Im going out Sat to test it. Other than that it runs great, fires up 1st kick, pulls hard. I also have a PWR coming so that should help to.

damn that cylinder sleeve looks THIN to me. and i also heard that these cylidners could not be low end cylinders, just mid-top end. they are sellin em cheap because they messed up with the castings.

They arent selling them cheap cuz the castings are messed up, thats the main reason eddie switched to these cylinders was to sell them cheaper then everyone else and so there isnt a wait like the pro x cylinders.

Thanks,
Mike

No, the reason they are supposed to be cheaper is that the actual "port" is from the casting, not that someone took extra time to grind the port work, and No the cylinder is not too thin, just the way the pics were taken.

well who ever told you that is an idiot...and my cast looked great so that throws your idea out the window...and i hope the sleeve isnt to thin because i would hate for it to end up like your duncan cylinder.

I ran with the 450's with my 265 setup, I hoped to be faster with the new top. I havent had a chance to finish the break in due to the weather, nasty rain here.
