what is the best way to remove the balljoints from the spindels.

i have heard of the brass rod but cant figure out an angle to get
to pop out.

i dont want to use a pickle fork because it normally cuts the boots.

all suggestions will help

I put nut all the way to the top and use a hard plastic hammer to push it out.

I use the spreader jaw on my porta power

it works really slick and doesn't damage anything.

A couple swift smacks with a hammer to the side of the spindle works everytime.

thanks guys, do recommend removing the top or bottom first.
brad you have some cool toys in your toolbox but hopefully a

$80 at Harbor Freight Tools. I can't tell you how many times this setup has saved my butt in straightening out frames, swingarms, a-arms, steering stems, etc. and that doesn't include all of the other uses. If you get a spare Benjamin Franklin, I suggest one of these little kits.
