when you guys powdercoat do you take all of the bearing and everything off of arms and such or do you leave them in? Just curious. I am thinking about doing some black on mine this summer. I just would like to keep it stock to though on one hand. Thanks for the info in advance Steve

everything comes off, including bearings. Stock arms cannot be PC'd

thanks, why cant they be pc'd? wrong metal? I will most likely just leave it but you never know. I can't get my motor out at the moment since my bolt is stuck. Just thinking about stuff I could do. Steve

The swingarm bolt that goes all the way through the frame and all. Thanks for the info on the stock arms. Steve

that bolt is the worst thing ever on the quad. I recently got mine cut out for $75. If you do a search for swingarm bolt it will all be about seized up bolts.

Thanks I have never really needed to mess with it but it sucks to know it is seized up. I wanted to take my motor out further during my rebuild but it was stuck in. All well I guess till summer. Thanks for the info. Do you guys just paint everything then if you paint the arms? I can get stuff sprayed easily but powder would be ideal for the frame and stuff. I have sprayed my subframe a couple of times to get the scratches out of the paint from my gas can holder. Thanks for the info steve

i recently had to cut mine out and replace it, but ill give you a lil advice just to make life easier for ya if you ever do have to take it out. once you put your new bolt in grease it up real good! and i like to take my bolt out atleast once a month re-grease it and put it back in just so i dont have to go through that hassle ever again.... trust me it only takes like 5 minutes and you can knock it out with all your other maintenance like changing your oil and lubing stuff up and all that just make it a habit to grease it and your rear hub. will make things so much easier and save you some money!

Here is my frame that I just got back. Spent that last 2 days, all day greasing and assembling!

our family machanic told me about the grease they use on honda's S2000 driveshaft splines which is real good. He's going to get some of that for me to put in my bolt. But now I have regular bearing grease because I didnt want to wait!

This was a a local place out of town so I didnt have to ship it out to Pappy. received just about the same price, $10 more, but I got the heat shield done free. Although I would still want to see my stuff done by pappy b/c of his reputation
