400ex mufler on a 300ex

Has anyone adapted a 400ex mufler to a 300ex ?? Ebay sells a less restrictive tip for the 400ex mufler... Or has anyone cut and welded a 400 outlet to a 300 ex exaust ??

I have done it a couple times with a 450r muffler,its nicer and as cheap or cheaper,its all stainless and you can use the quiet tip or the hrc one. you make one small hanger bracket, it used a exhaust flange ring from a suzuki bandit . then I take it to the local exhaust shop and have the guy bend a short piece of pipe ,it works fine. you might have to bend the wire support piece up a little to clear the muffler.
