Would you reccomend the thicker or thinner d i d cam chain with a set of hot cams?? K&n filter, hot cams, slip on, small rev box, working on drz kit, thats why im wondering which chain i should work with.

On advantage cycle it says to take it to a proffesional when installing the 3/4 chain, would it be that hard for me to do it on my own?

It's not that hard to change the chain but you do have to remove the clutch and that requires a holder tool, I personnally used a big pair of channel locks that worked fine. If you have a manual its pretty sraight forward and definatly get the 3/4 chain.

Its not that difficult,but Im not familiar with your mechanical skills. I think the hardest part I had was trying to get the old chain out. I had to remove the bolt(if I remember correctly) that hold the cam chain guide in place. That was a b#tch.

If those chains cost $200 I would still buy them after what happened to my kfx400 when I had it. The stock Cam chain stretched on it and the tensioner fully extended, cam jumped a tooth a dropped a valve. Took out the head, cylinder, piston. $1400 later I was running again.

If you have hotcams yeah defiently it is must do mod.
