dome for cool head

Does anyone know where to get a 23cc(pump gas)dome for a gasket style cool head? I am wanting to build a motor with one of my midrange ported stock jugs that will be fine on pump gas.

ask one of the ebay sellers who selling domes for coolheads if they got 23cc im sure they do...if not try prodesign or google it

Pro Design answers their phone at 11am PST daily, and has domes for ~$40. Tom is the one who usually answers, and is the owner of the business.

ESR makes a 23cc dome that will probably perform better than the prodesign. Just ask them for the stock cylinder 23cc dome. You can get oring or gasket style.

Why would it perform better, different concave shape for improved combustion or something?

Really, I guess it depends on how you set it up. They can very the band for low mid or top end. Instead of a one size fits all 23cc dome. I have not used their heads in a while but from comparing the different domes I always prefered esr. The prodesign usually require a little work to get them right.

just installed my pro design last weekend ran no prob at the track one w/ headstay with a 20cc dome..used my stock gasket and so far no probs..make sure u buy new oem gasket for the head though

I sent mine to Tom at Pro Designs for o-ring treatment.... poop on gaskets.... :)

Here is what I had done:

Cylinder hone
New dome for pump gas
O-ring grooves cut
O-rings installed and head torqued to cylinder
New copper washer under head nuts

$140

I also have a stock 86 atc head laying around,do you think that head with the fiber cometic gasket would put me in pump gas range? I think the cometic overbore gasket is my only option due to piston size.
