That crap always happened to me with every version of Limewire. I got Frostwire now and it works fine.

If turning it off and on, or restarting your pc does not work, while limewire is open, click file>disconnect. Go to your modem or router and unplug it. Wait 30 seconds or so and plug it back in. After your internet has came back on, click connect and wait. Usually works for me.

try going pro and buying it, it's legal and it will never crash, and you get faster downloads.

1. I have pro, and it does not make downloading copyrighted material legal.
2. He will have the same problem
3. You can just download it for free. If your already downloading music illegally, why not.

It did the same thing to me, so I ditched it and went to frostwire. It's a lot better.
Make sure your firewall isn't blocking it, is there a picture of an earth with a symbol over it next to the red connection strength bars(the ones that turn green when connected)?
Oh, and frostwire is same code as limewire, really they all access the gnutella2 network, as do SEVERAL other programs, so all have access to the same material.

Just get frostwire. It is the same as limewire and gnutella but it works. Limewire just got outdated.
