:EDIT

I just won an auction for an 07 swinger. I want to put it on my 04R. What else is needed to complete the swap. I know have derisi's linkage on my 04 swinger.

I think I only need a new rear shock and linkage, im seriously thinking about the lonestar dc6 link, With this setup I need to find a 16 & 3/8 inch long shock I read on LSracing's site. I really want to run pep's.

I hope when im done that will stop my rearend from packing up when I hammer whoops. I pretty much found the limits on my 04 setup now. I did get it dialed in to the best I can but, either it was time to have it redone and setup for a faster rider or it was time for long travel. I know the derisi setup worked very well compared to the stock setup, but I then started to ride harder and faster which made me find its limits.

Anyone that has done this swap feel free to chime in please. I'd like to get all I need before I start to take my old setup off. I plan on sending the 07 swinger to pappy to be coated in fire red like my a-arms and bumper and grabbar all have been done in by Pappy.

Yes, you will need the 06 shock and linkage.

Correct. You will need to use an 06+ dogbone, and linkage as well as a shock made for that 06+ setup.

Yup you need a complete linkage and a shock built for an 06+

If i were you i would seriously consider the lsr dc6 or the baldwin dual link with a good rear shock, fox or pep, whichever linkage you get they will know what length shock you need.

I didn't know that. I thought the link and shock was different not the dogbone, anyone have both so they can measure them both for me.

I want to change the shock, had hoped to use my derisi link but more I read the more I see that and the shock and link have to be changed, this is the first I heard that the dogbone is different as well.

Anyone have an 06 and up dogbone they want to sell cheap, I really want to run the lonestar dc6 setup. If anyone has a dc6 for sale please let me know asap, Was just on there site it does have the dogbone with it but 255$ is a bit much considering I still need to buy a 16 & 3/8 inch shock, Im hoping to find a used one of them too.

Buy the Baldwin linkage for the 06-08 stock swingarm, it comes with an entire linkage, dogbone, and all bearings seals and bearing sleeves. Also, it comes with the Baldwin air box lifter kit. it is a very nice linkage!!! I just installed one on my 09 race bike.

Im really interrested in the lonestar linkage, thats all I ran on my ex and its what I have on my R now for a frontend so I wanted to stick with it.

I just dont know if I need to lift the airbox or not. I hope not.

You say go with baldwin, I cant even find a link from them on there site. How much is there's? Lonestar's is 255$

Thanks I didn't think I needed to change the airbox, unless I put a gncc link not the MX one :)

Been looking for baldwin's link no luck, looks like IM going to go with lone star's dc-6, on the 07 swinger I sent to pappy to be coated.

You DONT need to lift the airbox with the lsr link, however, with baldwins link you do, but they send you the kit to do it. Baldwins website doesnt have much parts on it but im pretty sure their link is like 400 bux, nice peice, but the lsr is basically the same thing. I would deff go with the LSR

i have an 07 swinger on my 05 with the LSR DC-6 link and it rips. Had CUSTOM AXIS build me a shock for this set up with a TI spring and triple adjust. It wasn't cheap... actually im still paying for it :huh but whatever... its worth it!! my bike jamms through the whoops... like a cadilac
