New owner checklist? Etc?

What should a guy check and look for when new to this quad?

Any things that need correcting or checking?

Things to do now to avoid issues later, etc?

Any fastener problems or things that might work loose in the first few hours?

Any lube points to double check for enough grease?


Just any things like that?

locktite. EVERYTHING. learned that the hard way :eek: .

as for others. just change oil. oil the airfilter normal maintenance. the kawi has NO KNOWN MAJOR ISSUES THAT ARE COMMON :)

Go over everything and add locktite?
Any particular locktite for the aluminum?



Also, I turned my idle knob all the way towards the front of the bike (counterclockwise) and pull the knob out when I crank it... like I would a choke.

Is this correct?


It doesn't seem to have much speed increase on the idle, but does seem to be cranking better. It doesn't idle as fast as the one I test drove.

the idle knob is also the fast idle knob. you adjust it by turning it back and forth. i havent messed with the idle because mines fine. but for fast idle all i do is pull mine out and it idles about twice as fast. i use it for cold starts and quick starting. or just for warming it up faster.

EDIT: for the locktite. just normal blue or red locktite. whatever you would prefer. the aluminum frame is so rigid it vibrates and pushes the bolts and screws out :p
