I figured frames are cheap and it would be fun to build one. Worth it or should I just get a 400ex frame?? If anyone has done one can you post pics..

the 300 frame is to small. i put a stock 86 250r motor in a 250x chassis and it was to much for that frame. i couldnt imagine a yz426 in a frame like that

okay. sounds good but what do you mean "too much" I have a 350x engine but it needs a new head and it might cost more to rebuild it than just buying a yzf engine.
This is supposed to be a play bike, or play mx bike. This is no race rig. And do u know what engine would be lighter?? And whats the lightest honda production frame??

it has too much power for that chassis. a 350X has like 20 hp a 426 has like 45+ hp. plus it is too short a wheelbase.
my 250r motor is around 40, so...

okay I see what ur saying and it makes sense. But I might just do the 300ex frame anyways. Part of the fun is building it, and I bet it do some mean wheelies, so the goal of fun play bike would be met.
