Cameron is very proud of herself today,...
and her Daddy,(Me), is proud too.

I told her that I'd post some pics here, so she could share her first "solo in the seat" with you all.

(I realize that it's not the greatest thing in the world, but it was a pretty big deal for her)

So be nice with the replies,... She's only 7 years old.

This is her First post to the forum, and she will be reading the replies, and she want's to read what you think about it.

Great to see another rider enter the sport. Just make sure you tell her not to chew on the engine. We wouldn't want her to get lead poisoning. :p

Thanks for the replies so far guys.

Cameron has enjoyed reading them, and is just now learning about this Forum,
how it works to make a post,
and recieve members responces.

She is sitting here as I type this, and tellling me what to say...
(I may soon need to be giving her, her own screen name, LOL!)

She did ask why over 130 people looked, and 4 have replied, so I'm finding myself explaining why some reply, and some just read.

She also want's to hear from any of the Girl riders too.
Also, Mommy did a little video and we may put it up here too.

Oh, and I was just instructed to let everyone know that she can do both Figure 8's, AND Slalom's, around the cones.

keep 'em coming, She's enjoying hearing from you all.

LOL! Mike,
First we need to work on loosening the throttle limiter,
Then we'll do some practiceing on shifting the 90.

Cameron wants me to say, that she is Wwaaaaayyyyyy to young to ride the "Big 400" (her words)

250x_kyle,
(I already do qualify as, The Old Guy, LOL!, and I'd love to have a 4X4 UTV, parked next to the 400ex too !!!)

tear it up!!!! Way to go Cameron!! Have fun and be safe, steve

How long till we start seeing the wheelie pictures :D

Looks like you got a great setup going with the wide open area and the cones, but she needs some gear! Some pink goggles, pink riding pants, and pink jersey, or at least some new jeans! She has a great opportunity though getting into the sport at such a young age, two years she might be on a cobra out jumping me.

Now we must warn you for the video,...

Seems like only yesterday when my little girl took off thru the back forty like a girl possessed! You keep the rubber side down and your eyes lookin' ahead and you'll do good! Great to see a new rider!! Especially on a HONDA !!! Your going to go places, just remember 2 things. Always listen to your father and ride red! (only exception to breaking rule #1 is if your dad tries to get you to ride on a diffrent brand hehehe):blah:

Dad here,... Cameron would like me to type something out for her, to everyone's replies. So what follow's here, is her words...

Hi everyone, this is Cameron talking,
I want to say Thank you for all the nice replies, I really like reading them.
Just so you know, I won't be racing for a while, because I am a little young, but Dad teach's me at home, so I can get better.

But someday I might be racing, and doing wheelies. but it will be a while before I do the wheelies. It might be cool when I do the wheelies.

I have lot's of medals from doing different things like, my soccer team, and being a good citizen at the YMCA, and one from my reading assignment. If you want to see my Medals, we could take some pictures for you.

Maybe if I'm lucky, I could win a trophy when I race my quad.

When we go camping, we like to ride our quads and landsailers. My Dad takes me for fast rides on the Landsailers, and sometimes we go up on two wheels!
We have alot of pictures if you want to see them.

Thank you again for the replies, I really like this Forum because it's nice hearing from people who ride quads.

Why helllllo Miss Cameron! Welcome to the club!!

Judging from your pictures, it looks like your Daddy is teaching you the ropes quite well! Practice always makes perfect. I once started out similar to where you are. My Dad bought me my first dirt bike when I was 3 and I was able to touch the ground and ride it when I was 4. I rode that mini bike until I was at least 12 years old. You keep on doing what you're doing and with enough confidence and tenacity, you should be able to ride with the 'Big Boys' in no time. Perhaps someday you and I will race together! Never let someone tell you you can't do it or that you're not good enough just because you are a girl. For this last Flat Track season I ended up ranking #7 out of 16 riders (me, being the only girl). That's not the best! ...But racing a 400 against 450cc+ and STILL kicking some tail- it CERTAINLY isn't the worst. In other words girl, it CAN be done. I hope that you continue to grow to love this sport and improve in your skills. Always, always, always ride safely and at a pace that you are comfortable with. Life is too precious, as you are, and it is not worth it to go beyond your experience level to impress another rider- that is one lesson no one told me, and I had to learn the hard way. Hold yourself accountable and always make sure you have your helmet on your head before you set foot on that quad. As for you, Dad, do keep us posted on Cameron's progress!

Go gettem girl!! :muscle:

Hi all, Ron here.

Well my little Pink Pirate Princess is having a blast reading all of your replies, and the first thing I hear from her every morning when she wakes up is, "Dad, are there any more replies to my thread?"

Ashley, as I suspected, Cameron got a HUGE kick out of hearing from you, and was going to be responding herself tonight, but she had a bit of a casualty.

She had gone into her room to get her pink jersey, helmet, and riding pants on, so that I could take a picture and post it here.

Next thing I know,... I hear this blood-curdling scream come from her room and I go charging in there to find that she had zippered some tummy skin in her pants zipper! Ouch !!!

I had to un-zip it, and she's now got her first quad related injury, (just looks like a little bug bite), And she hadn't even left her room yet! Oh well, I guess the pics will have to wait till tommorow night, LOL!

Right now, she's laying on her bed with a ice pack on her tummy, "Recovering from her accident".
I guess tommorow, she will remember to tuck in her jersey first, BEFORE zipping up her pants! LOL!
I told her that plenty of us have done that, so dont feel like the Lone Ranger...
(I've "Been there, Done that", and yup,... it HURTS!!!)

so stay tuned tommorow, and maybe we will get her up with her own screen name.

Ride hard, (and Zip) Safe !!!
Daddy Ron

ps- and Kelly,
I did get your pm, and was about to show it to her, but that was about the time that the screaming started, so she will be getting your message tommorow night as well.
and by the way, after looking at your page, WOW, you go Girl!!! I think this Old Man better just stay on the porch and watch you girls race!
If I see some Pink coming up behind me, ...
I'm getting OUT OF THE WAY !!!

OK, here's a few pics of me with my Jersey and riding pants, and the last one is with my Medals from Soccer, School, and YMCA...

Daddy is going to have to buy me some new riding pants because my zipper is too tight and bites my tummy.
