ive seen a few of the 350z v8 swaps done, and they can be nice if done right.but if you really want one,id say build it yourself.then if will be just as you want it.and youll be sure it was done right.

were in the progress of doin a ford focus 2 door hatch v-8 swap.

thanks for the replys and cmaxx i know what your talking about but i aint got near enough money to do somthing like that, like i mentioned its got $7000 in it...plus idk if i wld be able to even wana try n do a swap like that myself...and i mean i can still do work to it if i get it cause he said the interior could some work or somthing and other lil final touches where i could add my personal touch and make it like i wanted...but idk, lets hear some more opinions/thoughts about it...do you think this one in particular would be pretty fast with just headers exhaust and intake?cld you convert it to a carbed 350 or wldnt that be a plus?what are easy cheap mods to do on a 350 like its got to get abit more zip outa it?

they are very cool (and probably very fun) cars but most of them Ive seen people build end up becoming a money pit and sold as unfinished projects

the ones that get finished are sick though, so good luck hope you can work it all out

wanna learn about lt1's then go to ls1tech.com and go to lt1-lt4 mods

my best advice is full bolt ons, and go to lloyd elliot (eportworks.com i believe) and have him spec you out a stage two head and cam kit (around $1800) youll be putting down over 400 at the wheels through a manual! and some nitrous of course...lt1's were built for nitrous, they LOVE it.

i've seen a fair bit of v8 swapped 280's, it's a fairly involved project and if it's not done 100% perfect you will have MAJOR problems. structural issues, alignment issues etc. if you can find it, try and find a RB26 or RB30 from a nissan skyline, it's almost a direct swap since it's an inline 6 as well. and they can make 600 or 700hp easily with sum new turbos and some internal work.

but if you have all the right resources and all the right know how (or someone with the right know how) then give it a shot! a v8 280z is always a fresh change
