Local bike shops are closed on sundays and I need coolant. Would car coolant be a bad Idea for one day?

95% of coolants on the market use silicate inhibitors to protect against aluminum corrosion. However the abrasiveness of silicates may cause premature wear to mechanicalwater pump seals. Just my 2 cents! In apinch use whatever you can get...............but I wouldn't use it for too long!

Regular antifreeze has never been a problem for me, it's all I've ever used. I do leave enough room for some "Liquid Kool", which is made by the Radiator Specialty company. Circle track guys swear by it, saying it drops temps between ten and fifteen degrees in their cars. Here's the link.
