300EX gearing

Has anybody regeared your 300EX for more top end and if so what did you go with and did it help any? My son would like to regear to increase his top end but I do not want to go to far and hurt the trail riding and hill climbing ability of the quad all though it does have plenty of low end grunt stock.
This will be with the stock tires also.

I have a 14t front sprocket and I love it. I run 22" Sur Traks in the rear. I do have a WB pipe, k&n jet kit, and wiseco piston, so I have no problem with lack of power on bottom end. The 14t does make a pretty big difference, so maybe for something less drastic you could try a 36t rear

I have a 14T front also and lost no bottom end that I can tell, I'm also running 22" trail claw 2's :D
