cleaning baked on mud

how do you guys get the mud tint out of your engines?

took the kfx out in the mud for the first time yesterday and I miss my shiny engine :(

it will make it dull but etching mag wheel cleaner works good. made by eagle one, you can get it at any auto parts store.

when you say it makes it dull, will you be able to see a change in the texture? or just lose some shine

S.o.S or a green scrubber usually works for me

it will loose shine.
