My new leftover 07 400EX has an HMF slip on and a #42 pilot and a #158 mj, air box lids has 8 1" holes in the lid, took it out today and it seems to wind up so fast, it doesn't pull thru the gears long enough to lift the the front tires like I feel it should, I am in 5th gear so quick, stock gearing, going to see if I can take a plug reading and see what it reads, can jetting be the issue here, might try a #155, what's it need to honk better on top.

I don't think the 07's have adjustable needles

jets r us . com your main is tiny, giver the hog some fuel if you want to keep the 42 pilot, give it a 160 main, the jets are so cheap. but high quality, i had a stock 400ex, bone stock before the big bore and i was running a 170 main and 42 pilot with out a single problem, ran like a champ

Thanks rider

I do have a few mj up from the 158, one thing I forgot to mention that I left out the spark arrestor on the end of the HMF slip on, going to put that back in and try going up on the main jet and see what happens.

im not sure if just the spark arrestor would make any difference at all, it does on xr70's lol there just right balless when the arrestor is out, but i had the baffle out of my stock exhaust also and it made no difference on the power curve
