What sizes and adjustability are avalible for the 400?
And will any aftermarket bearing carrier and lock nut work with this axle?
Am I correct that stock hubs will work?

Thanks, Joe

get an RPM adjustable axle.

What makes the RPM better? Everybody says the pros use them so i'm assuming that they are the best but i'm not anywhere near that level. I'm just a casual rider compared to them:)
Plus they are a bit pricier. Though not copletely out of range.

Same questions apply to the RPM axle, as well as any others.
Any answers?

The RPM is available in a variaty of sizes for the 400.
When it says +1 to +4 is it either or or are there incriments inbetween?
K&K ATV advertises the X-33 as 16 position adjustable. Other places don't:confused:

Thanks, Joe

LSR's are adjustable from 1 1/2 to 3 1/2 from stock length.I just got one for $315 to my door. LSR stuff seem's reasonable right now. Stick with the stock hubs and upgrade your bearing carrier and locknut. You should be able to do it all for $500 or under. Good luck

Thanks. I'm leaning towards the LSR and would like to go a bit wider.

My dilema is storage. My quad barely fits through the door as it is. I'm hoping to have a real garage built this spring or summer. So i would like to get an axle that is adjustable from stock to up to +2 or +4.

Also I would like to keep in that price range.

Did you get yours from the QuadShop?

Well RPM makes a XC Axle that is adjustable from -2 to +1, but that's not helping you much. Their other axle is from +1 to +4. I guess the LSR is from 1 1/2 to 3 1/2 wider then stock. I would go with the RPM Axle, Carrier, and Anti-Fade. If not get the LSR Carrier, Carrier, and Anti-Fade. The Quadshop or Full Throttle MX can help you out.

Thanks. I don't think I need the anti-fade for the priceof them just the lock nut. I don't race or any super high speed riding. Are they really worth it if you don't race?

I might just notch out my door jamb to get it to fit:D

Well it would still be worth it, but you don't really need it I guess if you are not racing or going to race. You could get a cheaper lock nut then. Oh with just +1 you can make it fit.

The anti-fade locknut is the biggest load of crap ive seen yet...250$ for something that doesnt do a better job than a $50 aluminum locknut..sure if you have a 7 figure income go buy yourself a couple and you can have a spare.. .. id rather buy a polished throttle cover:o

They don't work that well? Really if I got one I think I would get a Baldwin or somebodies like that where Farr actually races with it.

They work fine, but the cheaper 50$ versions that alot of shops sell work every bit as good....then you got the people who actually think the brakes get hot enough to need the anti-fade. Also if baldwin sold stock nuts Farr would run them

Yeah you have a point. Farr would run whatever Mark put on the quad.
