My boy has a stock 90 and I was wondering how much toe-in to run for xc or mx racing?? He might run a couple of gp's but mostly xc. Any comments would help. Pics from Sunday Thanks

Toe-in My boys drr90 is a little twichy going straight. I thought a little more toe-in would help. I have not got to try it yet to see if it would help. I did't know if anybody ran more or less toe-in to help with this or if they stick with the stock setting.

Are there any back yard secrets on the technique used to get the alignment within 1/8"? I'm talking about any string pulling and that sort of thing that is quick and accurate. Thanks

the problem with DRR's is that there is too much bump-steer, that is when the toe changes when the suspension goes fom compressed to extended, its not an easy fix. 1st you have to relocate your motor a couple inches then move your flag (the piece the tie-rods bolt to on the stem), and you still can not get anywhere near 0.00" bump steer. alot of tracks will not allow you to do this even though your makin your kids quad safer and track a hell of a lot better. that will get you right around 1.25" total bump. i'm still workin on gettin 0 to 1/4" bump steer on a drr mod bike that i'm aloud to change but its not easy. then i'm gonna try to incorporate it to my drr cvt bike i'll let ya know

^ tru dat ..

bump steer affects all these minis & most all full size quads least in stock form ..most lil machines would need distract mods to completely fix it as indicated already
dont wanna type all about it
...there a many hints to improve the problem
a reminder ..toe in should be set with the rider on the machine & weight forward to help create a riding scenario somewhat
..IMO 1/4 is too much ..& could create more bump steer ..yet opinions will vary on this
try different settings closer to "0" ..now watch the rider & ask how it feels etc .. work with him/her til things feel good

What method do you use to check your toe-in?

we use 1/8" at front of tires, with rider sitting on bike.
