OK....we are off to our first GNCC race and need some help to keep my little guy running through mud and water.

Can you please post some pics of anything that will keep us running?

We are short on time so your solution doesn't have to be pretty :)

We have the Keihin PE24 carb on a DRX70

Thank you for your help

what up gary whem we race in wet mud i just take a milk jug and fit it over the air filter it keeps it very dry and clean. i dont fit it tight so the mud will fall off the milk jug (tight enough so the jug wont fall off) just cut the jug open leave the handle, when installing a fine performance part like this i put the handle on the bottom and poke 2 holes on top then zip tie it on this works great
i have done this on a air cooled but not on a liquid cooled so i have no input to keep the radiator clean {gobs of tape i guess}

hope this helps

Spray type cooking oil on fenders. screen door wire in front of rad. Not on it but about a 1/2 inch away easier to cleaen if it is real muddy. Zip ties on hand grips cut off. they help if gloves get slick. Run some type of hand guard. We run the stock snorkle and not had a water air issue. Make sure your skid plates are in good shape. A gripper seat helps alot also. In that sand down there I would run those maxxis tires. xcross

gary,
to keep the water off the filter run a dryer flex vent hose i think it
6 inches wide from the carb to the fender faced away toward the rear about 12 inches. we zip tie it to the carb and to the fender.
it was not my idea but all the dads around here run it and doesnt really effect the jetting like the tube does. i can get you a
pic if you need it.

good luck to dillan maybe he will make it on tv, i think versus records
the events. they have a kids segment

Here's what you need Gary.......can you fab it up tonight before the 8 am start?

Go with the stock remote tube and UNI. Also cover the headlight hole with one of your hoods. My son has put that to the test and it has worked fine so far. Ours required some rejetting when we went with the tube.

Good luck tomorrow ! Are you coming the following week to Georgia? Hope to see you there.

be really carefull with that one. i saw one of the top riders in our district lose a moto because some how the vent hose shredded and bound up in between his tire and hub and locked him up.

We survived the practice round...no water yet and it wasn't on the race area..

This is a lot of fun...

I can see why this part of the sport is growing so fast

Thanks for all of the suggestions

No rain!!!

Dillan finished 5th out of like 15 70cc riders.

He had a encounter with a tree that dropped him back a spot or two late in the race.

He has a broken protector and some brusied and scratched ribs, but overall it was a great experience

Gary tell Dillon nice job I see he got a top 5 in his first GNCC.

How did he like racing thru the woods nonstop for over an hour?
Were thinking trying out a GNCC race this year.

Tell Seth great job and he gave Charlie a great battle ...Charlie said they swapped positions several times during the 1st few laps. Charlie also said he thought he checked out twice and then BOOM, the black #4 was back on my bumper. Great race and best of luck this season.
