Never heard of burning up your stator! Your stator is the one pushing the wattage! Not the other way around.

i always herd that your safe with 70 watts or less on a stock stator. Call Ricky Stator and talk to them, they helped me out a lot when i had a ton of questions about putting lights on my R.

well i have some lights that i bought. i bought the pair and they said 50 watt. im not sure if there 50 for the pair or 50 each but they work fine. and yes you can burn up your stator and you will loose performance until it dies.
what happens in the first place is the stator gets hot and then it will die. you can wait a hour and it will fire back up. then when it gets hot it will die agin. until i it finially goes.

Whats the output on a stock stator? I have always run a 200 watt stator setup. Didn't see it in my manual.
Those lights you bought are probably 50 per light!

Yes the stator does "push" the wattage but just like any electrical if ur load "being ur lights" is drawing more then the line "being the stator" it will burn it up!!
