I need to raise the handles bars a bit for my wife to feel comfortable riding standing up, will swapping out for some taller riser mounts effect the cables at all or is there enough slack for some taller risers? Thanks

I remember on my 400 the throttle cable was very sensitive to any unnessecary play

There should be enough slack...when i put on new risers and bars the only concern was the brake cable....was a little on the tight side but havent had any problems yet....everything else seems to have enough slack to add risers.

i got +2.5'' custom risers on mine, throttle cable is the only thing tht is tight, wat year is it?, i think the older ones come with low bars, and 05+ have high bars...

k, so it has the high bars then... best way to see how high it will go is take the bar clamps off and lift, and wen all the loose slack is gone, thts how high you can go, probly not gona be much...
