View Full Version : Mud in my filter box catch

ive been riding with my airbox off and i have a k&n precharger on my filter. i have been filling up that little rubber hose catch thing everytime i ride. should i be putting my airbox lid back on while it is real muddy?

i do the same thing but i dont worry about it i just try not to like sink it in mudd to where ur guna fill the box up lol

Exactly! I have one one my 400ex and it works awsome! they`re customer service is great too! I ordered mine with a red filter, well later the same day I got a phone call and he told me he was out of red filters and it might be a month before he got any more in so I told him I`m not that picky black will be fine and man it looks awsome but still keeps the dirt and mud out just fine!

Best part is you can make this dirt cheap. 1.4 ounce fiberglass cloth prayed with silicon based water repelant.

Made mine up yesterday. $13.00 into it . Might look like overkill on the # of bolts I put in, but I made a gasket for it and wanted to make sure it was sealed good.

Yeah before I knew any better I made one with scotchgaurd and panty hose.

It didn't work so well...

Ha!

No, I bought them at a store on the way up. The clerk at the checkout was telling me that her husband would never buy her those kinds of "lady things". I busted her bubble when I told her that it was for my quad....

If you do creek crossings AT ALL! (5 mph or more) DO NOT GET THE EHS LID! I had one.. IT SUCKS! Dust still got in, water went right through.. tho I may just ride harder than the adverage joe.. It may be cheap.. but honestly I don't even think it was worth that! TOTAL RIP OFF! TOTAL SCAM! Panty-hose probally does a better job! :mad:
