Badlands Trip (Attica, Indiana), March 21st

I want to plan another Badlands trip for March 21st. The weather should be nice by then. Probably in the 50's. I went last year on the same weekend and it turned out great.

I will be going with my brother, dad, and probably 2 buddies. Who else is in?

The MX track is mediocre but decent. 800 acres of trail riding ranging from sand, woods, mud, trail crossings etc..

Prices:

Track OR trail access: $20/day
Track AND trail access: $30/day

I'd definitely make it if you were going on Sunday! I'll try to go on Saturday the 21st but will probably be workin' on Saturdays by that time. If I can make it I'll pm you and let you know. I live 1 hour south of Chicago, so its only a short ride for me. Thanx.

Ok so some additional information for anyone staying thru the weekend:

A buddy of mine here at work is putting together his annual st. patricks day festivities. They have been doing this for a few years and usually have a pretty big turnout (they do t-shirts for the "bar crawl" and everything). So as it turns out he's doing all of this on march 21st...day of our trip. Their festivities start early morning (9am ish) and they run til the bars close down (3am here)...pretty much an all day drinking event with lots of madness. I am guessing we'll be riding til 5 which puts us back in lafayette around 6. By the time everyone eats, showers, etc... I think we (whoever is up for drinking that night) could meet up with the group around like 8-9. I can guarantee a great time that night. Myself and my girl will be participating and will be getting this years t-shirt.

So the invite is out to anybody who is staying here for madness March 21st!

Thanks for pointing that out, all of this is happening in Lafayette and West Lafayette (40 mins from Attica). This is where all the hotels are for anyone staying and it's where all the cool people are at! Taking place saturday night, and probably 5+ bars. Some people that are coming from Michigan are staying in Lafayette near my place.

Thanx for the clarification. I know everyone is staying in Lafeyette but does everyone know theres a hotel in downtown Attica? We call it the "Haunted Hotel"! We stay at Sommers Carol Campground in the summer. Have you been to this campground before? Super nice facility! It beats staying in that bean field that the Badlands likes to call a campground. Thanx!

I would steer anyone away from staying in attica lol...that place is ancient. I've never camped there because the badlands is within driving distance.

Should be pretty dry. There will be plenty of people that want to do trail riding and some that want to mx. I know I will mostly be on the track assuming its open but I WILL do some trail riding.

Been out of the ATV riding scene for quite a while now. Picked up a YFZ cheap and I cant wait to get riding again. Have had great great times at the Badlands and especially in Lafayette when the ridings done..lol.
Going to try to get a few guys together for that weekend. Have a big trip to St Joes in MO planned at the end of May so most of the group probably wont make it.

I was there Saturday. The park had a lot of mud back in the trails and the track looked in rough shape. It doesn't look near as good as it did last year but it has been a bit wet to properly groom it. Maybe they'll get on it this week. Overall though there was a decent amount of people and as always it was still a good time.

My dad bought an enclosed trailer today so I'm pretty sure we are gonna try and park by the silo's also. I will try and get all the guys to park there. You can't miss me, white LTR with cernic's white/yellow graphics, black hipers and my bro's red honda trx450r with moto-xperts graphics. :)

Dont hold me to it though! These guys change their mind like 10 yr. olds these days! :( I should be there.....I'd say about a 90% chance, even if I have to come down alone! Sucks drivin 2 hrs. alone because if you break down on the road it sucks! But I've done it plenty of times before! :D

See you all there tomorrow morning. We plan to be there at 10am. We will be parking in the lower lot for sure, near the silo's on the side closer to the registration building (if there is room). We have a sand colored dodge durango with a 16' white enclosed trailer. White LTR450 with cernics graphics and a red trx450r with moto-xperts graphics, and my dads bike a red/white yamaha warrior. Come say hi and let's rip some trails and that mx track!!! Can't wait!

But on another note, got the brake and clutch levers replaced. and tore down the road quite a few times. :P
