Lookin good.
Have you ever tried singling out just one color instead of an entire object?

They both look cool. I like the top picture of yours best.

There are actually a couple of ways to do it. I use photshop and there's an option that makes it pretty easy. You can just select the color you want and put it on it's own layer and desaturate the under layer. Or you can can make a mask layer. Or in photoshop you can use the camera raw pre-screen and desaturate all colors except one. There's no wrong way. As always, in photoshop, there's always 5 different ways to do the same thing. If you want more specific help, let me know.

Sorry dude, I've never even heard of gimp until I read your post. I have no idea how to run that program, never seen it. I stick with the Adobe programs.

I don't use Lightroom too much, but I delved into it for a minute just for you:)
This is an easy, pretty much auto way to do it, so you won't be able to do much fine tuning to it like you would be able to in Photoshop, but you should be able to get the desired results you want.

Once you have a photo open in Lightroom, click on "develop" in the upper right hand corner.
Scroll down in the adjustments panels until you find "hsl/color/greyscale". Or, click on "window" on the top of your screen, roll over "panels", then select "hsl/color/greyscale".
Once you see that adjustment panel, you'll see four sub-layers in it, hue, saturation, luminance, all.
Click on "saturation".
Once you have those sliders up, just desaturate (move slider to the grey side) all of the color that you don't want present in the picture, and leave the one that you do.
Also, play around with the hue to change the color of the existing colors, and the luminance will adjust the brightness of each individual color.

I hope this helps you out. Like I said before, this is the more automated way to do it, and you don't have as much control with it as you would in Photoshop. Say you want to isolate the green on a four-wheeler and the background is grass, you'll have the green of the wheeler and the grass in color as well. In Photoshop you could remove that. I don't know how in Lightroom.
Anyway, give it a shot and post up what you come up with!

And gcart2, I didn't even notice that corner until you mentioned it:p

So you just took desaturated the blue. Did you try desaturating everything BUT the blue, or another color?
That's what I was doing in my pic.

Very nice elmer, the only thing I would suggest is going in and cleaning up the color on the goggles and the inside of the front left fender. It's a really small nit-picky thing but it's reflected light, so they're really not that color. Like I said, little thing, but looks cool!

And thanks for the comments on my pit bike, it's in the process of being more badarser:devil:

that is from when i first got photoshop, and was messing with it. looking at it now, i see a lot of bad things, but i still like the effect.
