hey guys, will i be ok standing up my 400ex in the truck? i see many people doing them, but then i hear oil might leak through the crankcase breather and may go in the air filter, is this true?

it will not leak oil at all just gas. to make it not leak gas turn the fuel off and let the quad run until it stalls then it wont leak.

Yea what he said. Start her up and turn the gas off and let her run dry. Your gas shouldn't leak out then I believe.

It also helps if there isn't alot of gas in the tank. Mine would leak out of the cap, so I tied the the breather in a knot.

done it many times. its so funny when you pull in a place everyone is looking like wtf how did they get everything on there. We have stood 2 up in the bed, then 3 sideways on the trailer with the tires edges hanging off. It looks rediculous and unsafe. It also looks we we bought out a Honda dealer lol

After you unload it, I would let it sit level for a while before I start it. By letting it sit level again you will let the oil move from the back of the engine where its pooling to the front of the engine. Good luck and use ratcheting straps.
