09 AMA Stock Approved ATV's

This is from AMA's website. Does anyone else take this that the Cobra ECX50 is now legal in the 50 stock limited class? It says its an approved machine but for what class???

That looks to be true.

I can only see in the National rules that the classes are divided by age.

I think that the promoters are expecting lower turnouts this year due to the economy. Our local district still splits the classes.

As far as I know,the year when cobra came out with the 50 ,the stock/limited 50 class added to the rules that it couldn't be over 41" wide and only 4"of suspension.The cobra 50 is over 41" wide and has more suspension than that, otherwise it would have been able to compete in the stock/limited class.

I see on the list above that they state the track width is 36"??

What is "track width"?? Isn't that the "center to center" of tire width?
