It is worth it, just take time to tune it properly.

Wow....I am shocked. I've never heard anyone not be able to tell the improvement from the stock cruddy 400 carb, to the 450 carb. IMO, it was a dramatic quality improvement to say the least. Whether I picked up hp's or not could be debated, but without question, it is a better functioning carb. The mechanics behind it are much more sound than that of the stock carb. You will notice the sound of the slide reacting much quicker to your thumb throttle the first time you give it a little throttle to start it.
Absolutley go for it.....
