Intake tube for XR650 motor in a Quad chassis.

Anyone looking to make a custom intake tube for their XR650R hybrids ????

Well look no further than your local BRP (Skidoo) Dealer.

I was looking at the 2008 DS450's intake tube and said to myself I bet that'll mount right up to my Edelbrock carb!!!!

Well I was right and I made the airbox to fit it!!!

The best part is it was only $20

wow. thank you for sharing that. i built mine out of exhaust tubing from an f350 lol. your way is a lot easier

ds450 filters are a good option for this hybrid. is that a warrior chassis?

Yeah! I like the DS filter....it's nice and BIG!

NO! The frame is a CUSTOM Chromoly creation based on 400EX Geometry.

The Sub frame and Axle are Titanium.....saves a ton of weight.

I just wish the OIL tank was in a better location.

I see you mounted yours behind the Airbox.....very trick!

Over the winter I'm gonna fab up a new one.

The reason I have mine in the front frame rails was because the exaust was in the way......Since I've changed to a Big Gun exhaust I have loads of room in front of the motor.

having it in the back is nice because its out of the way, so you can run a 3 quart tank, but if you dont notch one side of it, your sprocket will come up and tear that aluminum tank to shreds.....no bueno :(
other than that and having to have really long lines, it works pretty well.

Could you tell me the diameter of the carb end, and possibly how long that intake tube is. Id be trying to fit it to a 39mm fcr. Thanks
