motor not run

the motor on my z400 will not stay running. its fireing fine i was thinking that fuel problem

Need more information:
1). Did it just start all the sudden
2). Idle and giving gas wont run
3). Spark plug?
4). Clogged fuel petcock? Reserve or regular?
5). Has it been sitting(clogged jets)?
6)???????

It started run for a few then it dead and would not restart
i gave it gas it sounded fine then it quit.
