View Full Version : Rear shock same as 450?

I searched, found threads about the fronts, not much info about the rear. I need to replace a blown shock on my 400 for cheap. Is the 450r shock the same? If not what would it change?

I heard it fits, but I've never used one. I think Threedollabill runs all 3. maybe he'll chime in...

We run a 450 shock on the rear and fronts......would sell stock rear for reasonable offer

Don't it lower the rear a little bit also?

i've got a 450r rear shock thats been reworked by gt thunder thats only had 8 rides on it. i'd be willing to sell. i could pm you some pics i you want.

Well they say that the 400ex shock revalved and re sprung is just as good for the 400 and the stock 450r shock is. I never minded my rear 450r shock on my 400. It does lower it a little bit, but without adjusting a brand new 450r shock or even lightly used one will make your ride a lot rougher.

That's what I needed. I don't need any rougher. This old fart is sore after riding as it is. I guess I'll go for a 400 shock.

Yea right after I got it I was really hurting. It's not bad on the trails, but on the way there we go through some grassy areas and fields and wow it's rough. I had to stand up most of the time.
