View Full Version : Your thoughts on shredder tires......or Razrs

I am lookin into getting some new rear tires. I still have the stock ones and they are getting down on tread. I think they wear really quick. I was looking at shredder tires or razrs. One of my buddys has Razrs on his 250R and said they hardly wear at all. They another buddy of mine has shredders on his 250R also. He said they are a pretty good tire also. So i was just wondering what is the best bang for the buck and tire wear and how good they hook up. Tire wear is the main thing though and i ride on mostly hard packed trails in the timber and very few MX tracks. So tell me what ya all like!!!!!!!!

Razrs rock! I'm very pleased with mine. I got 6-ply because of riding rough trails and they have taken a beating and have held up very well. Hardly any wear. They slide well and hook up great. I've heard shredders are good also, so you'll probably be OK with either one. Also like the Razr colored logo.

This is going to be tough decision!!..........hmmmmmmm I am leaning towards the Razrs though.

From what I've seen on the posts, Razr's will win this battle. Although there are alot of people that like the shredders also. Based on what they say on the board, I just put all new Razr's on mine(thanks for helping me decide everybody). Haven't ridden too much on them yet though, this weekend I'll find out!

I have chosen Razr's too. I will be ordering my 6 plys the first of next week. :D I can't wait to bolt em on!!!

I hated shredders. They ball up too easy when you hit a little wet spot. I'd take razr's any day over the shredders. I've tried almost every rear tire available for the last 10 years for MX.
