CUSTOM cr500 quad.only 1 used part was put on it rest is new

Well my buddy built this thing a few years ago and now he doesn't ride it. He estimated 15k into this quad and he is wanting to sell it. He didn't mess around when he built this and all NEW parts went onto this thing except a radiator which was used.

This thing is on its 3rd yes THIRD tank of gas and will seriously rip **** up. list of mods on it and a few pictures.

ASK any question's I wasn't there when he built this I can talk to him and see what he can answer for you.

I have rode this quad and can say that it throws the biggest wall of **** when you hit the throttle.Bike is spotless,and a absolute blast to ride.Handling is 2nd to none!!!.Bike was originally built to campaign open A in motocross but things happen and it never made it to the track.Just as the first post states,ALL new except radiator,including all three brake calipers were oem new.

Where you live at? I've never had a chance to ride this thing yet except when we moved it to the back of his moms yard in her new garage he pulled me with his tractor. I bet its a dream to ride with the suspension set up he has on this thing.

I live outside of cambridge.The quad was actually stored at my house for a while.It is trully like riding on a cloud of air.I had many diffeent suspensions on my r,and this was the best I ever rode.

It wasn't a swap laeger built this frame specifically for this motor thats why its such an amazing bike there are only 7 or so of these frames in existence built by laeger for this motor.

i believe it was designed to be as similar to a dirtbike frame near the motor mounts as possible if you look at the 2 vertical frame rails located right in front of where the motor is and the urethane bushings inside the motor mounts would both help significantly to reduce vibrations.

Im the owner. The only thing it needs is a kick starer. I built a custom one but its not enf to start it. I tried a 2001 cr 500 from suggestion from a guy that built one of these frames but it hit also. Whats the offer?

I will need to see some current pics first. Where does the 01 kickstarter hit exactly? does it kick forward or back? I do have some concerns with the vibration. I built one back in 93 using a 86 trx 250 frame and the vibration was horrible and I broke the frame just above the swingarm bolt in half at the 93 southwick national. I'm assuming that being a custom built frame it won't crack and the vibration is at least tolerable. When did you build it ? Before paying this much money I at least have to know how to fix the kickstart problem. Thanks Kurt

the 01 hits the master brake res and the frame. It kicks back thats what the flip up seat is for. Yes It does vibrate but all the motor mounts have bushing in them to help with that along with the handle bars to take some away. It was built in 1998 Been sitting ever since My guess it has had 3 or 4 tanks of gas thru it. The PVL really makes it rev nice. I cant get pics till this weekend its not stored at my house.
